Oakdale Workers to face Thirlmere Roosters in the grand final

And then there were two left for the final dance – Oakdale Workers and Thirlmere Roosters. These two will play in the 2020 grand final this coming Sunday after Oakdale, pictured above, put on a defensive performance for the ages to shut out Campbelltown City Kangaroos.  In front of a smaller than expected crowd at Thirlmere on Sunday, Oakdale won the arm wrestle and the match 19-6 to book their place in the grand final at Campbelltown Sports Stadium. Wests Tigers fans hoping to see the blooding of some youngsters now that finals hopes have been extinguished will be disappointed by the team named to take on Melbourne this Saturday. Gunners go back to back with a round to spare

Gunners SC have secured back to back men’s first grade titles after downing Mt Annan 4 – 0 in round 13. The Gunners have a 5 point lead over Oran Park with one round to play. Narellan kept their slim finals hopes alive with a strong 7 – 0 victory over Harrington. The Rangers trail fourth placed Mt Annan by 2 points, but will need to beat the premiers in the final round, and hope that Mt Annan falter against Eschol Park in order to qualify for the finals. The Western Sydney Wanderers will be without defender Matthew Spiranovic for up to 10 weeks due to an ankle injury.
