Liverpool Mall will host a shooting competition this weekend. Prize is a Wanderers coaching clinic.

The first 30 children to shoot a goal target in Macquarie Mall this Saturday, May 30, will win a place in a special Western Sydney Wanderers coaching clinic and meet Wanderers’ players.

The competition will be held at 1pm on the green near the Moore Street end of Macquarie Mall.

Children who shoot the goal target will attend a special football coaching clinic and meet players in an exclusive event at Westfield on Saturday, July 18.

Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun says the Wanderers competition was one of the many activities lined up for the final weekend of Liverpool Live at the Mall.

“This weekend is shaping up as the grand finale for Liverpool Live,” he said.

“Come down this Friday to see the great Sydney band Gang of Brothers back on stage and on Saturday pack extra blankets for popular family movie Frozen.

“On Saturday we’ve got X-Factor finalist Jessica Jade jamming with Red Roy, and Paulo Rivera on saxophone.’’

There will be kids’ activities on both afternoons, including chess coaching and a competition at 2pm on Saturday.

“It’s been great to see the family atmosphere.”

Liverpool Live at Macquarie Mall is part of Council’s Building Our New City project.

Activities in the city centre are designed to attract people to the city at nights and on weekends, making it a safe, family-friendly place to be.
