Customer service: the Liverpool Council administration building on the corner of Moore and George Streets.

Liverpool Council is less than two weeks away from opening the doors to its new look, ground floor customer service centre at 33 Moore St, Liverpool.

The new Customer Service Centre will be at street level, just 50 metres east (towards Bigge Street) of the current entrance to the lifts which service the current administration building, and is another milestone for council’s roll-out of the Great South West brand.

It will provide a more modern environment for Liverpool residents, visitors and investors looking to do business with council.

“Customers will see an immediate improvement to the quality and delivery of customer service, including cuts to wait times and better communication channels with staff,” Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun said.

“Using cutting edge technology – such as the installation of self help kiosks – council is transforming the way customer service is delivered by saving people time and money.”

Once inside the new centre, residents will notice a range of improvements and upgrades, including revamped logos and colours which were rolled as part of the city’s new look brand.

Staff uniforms and colours will feature the new brand.

“This fresh look and feel will be complemented by upgrades to technology, such as two new smart TVs and self help kiosks,” Mayor Mannoun said.

“There will also be an added number of cashier points designed to process transactions with more efficiency.”

In the period between now and October 28, Council is working around the clock to make sure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible.

Once the new centre opens on October 28, there will no longer be public access to the main council administration building.
