This year’s Campbelltown Mayor’s Charity Gala Dinner will bring a touch of the tropics with a vibrant Hawaiian-themed evening.

The charity fundraiser will be on Saturday, August 8 at Ottimo House.

Residents, local businesses and community members are all invited to enjoy an unforgettable night with the music of iconic bands, live entertainment, delicious food and community connection, inspired by the spirit of Hawaiian luaus and a tropical paradise.

Proceeds from this year’s will support local charity Blue Butterfly Institute.

This volunteer organisation provides vital care, support and advocacy for victims and survivors of sexual trauma.

The funds raised on the night will go towards expanding the organisation’s services, as well as supporting access to expert-led education, training and community learning opportunities.

“Each year, the Mayor’s charity gala dinner brings our community together in support of an organisation making a genuine impact,” says Mayor Darcy Lound.

“It is an honour to support the vital work of our local charity organisations, many of which are driven by dedicated volunteers who generously give their time to help others in our community.

“This year’s recipient, the Blue Butterfly Institute, works tirelessly to support people navigating challenging times, ensuring they feel heard, valued and supported.

“Through connection, guidance and advocacy, they make a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of those they support,” he said.

“I know our community will get behind this great cause and enjoy an evening that promises to be a memorable one filled with live music and the chance to win some fantastic prizes.

“I invite everyone to join us at this year’s event and consider sponsoring the event or buying a ticket.”

Founder of the Blue Butterfly Institute, Tina Meyer, said being selected as this year’s fundraising recipient would make a meaningful difference to the organisation’s work.

“The support of Mayor Lound and Campbelltown Council will ensure that the Blue Butterfly Institute and its volunteers can continue to provide services and education and training needed to deal with the impact of trauma,’’ Ms Meyer said.
