Body Classique Health, Fitness and Dance Centre is hosting kitten yoga charity fundraisers for animal rescue groups of Macarthur.
It all starts this Sunday, June 19 when the centre, located at Smeaton Grange, will host three sessions throughout the day, at 9am, 11am and 1pm.
Half of the proceeds will be donated to the rescue group sponsored for the day.
“Each session includes a 45 minute yoga class full of kitties and is followed by a kittea party with sweet treats and even sweeter kitten cuddles,’’ says Samara, the owner of the centre.
“The staff at Body Classique are huge animal lovers and we have decided to give back to the community through a series of charity fundraising events,’’ she said.
“Our kitten and puppy yoga events are special weekend events hosted by the studio to fundraise for local animal welfare groups.
“Guests are invited to join us for a 45 minute Cat-uranga or Doga class where you will participate in an animal themed session, surrounded by curious kitties or playful puppies.
“Afterwards, you are invited to attend a kittea party or puppy playdate where you can enjoy some refreshments and spend some time with the animals.
“All kittens and puppies are available for adoption and guests are invited to chat with the staff from our sponsored rescue crew to get more information about adopting, fostering and donating.
“Not only are you supporting a wonderful cause but you will also have loads of fun and help raise awareness about rescue pets in our community,’’ Samara said.
Tickets are $35 and available on the website here.
