Nominations are now open for the 2016 Campbelltown City Jubilee Awards, recognising individuals who have lived in Campbelltown City for 50 years or more, and for 30 years or more for members of Campbelltown’s Indigenous community.

The awards program is also open to businesses and organisations that have served the city for 50 years or more.

Award recipients will receive a certificate and medallion at a special ceremony to be held in May.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr Paul Hawker, said the Jubilee Awards were an opportunity to acknowledge long standing residents and organisations who had played a role in helping to make Campbelltown a great place to live, work and play.

“I’m looking forward to meeting our long time residents and thanking them for supporting our community over such a long period of time,” Cr Hawker said.

“They represent a wealth of local knowledge and history, and I’m sure they have a story or two to tell.

“But most importantly, Council wants to acknowledge their contribution to making Campbelltown the strong, vibrant community that it is today,” Cr Hawker said.

All nomination forms must be completed and returned to Council by Thursday, April 21.

For details, or to download a nomination form, visit the awards website or call Council’s Communications and Marketing team on 4645 4515.
