The Campbelltown Arts Centre will once again be the venue for Fisher’s Kids on Sunday, November 6.

As the countdown continues to this year’s Fisher’s Ghost Festival, today we highlight a fun initiative for the young members of our community.

Children are invited to show off their artistic flair during the colourful and creative, hands-on workshops and activities planned for Fisher’s Kids on Sunday, November 6 from 10am to 2pm at Campbelltown Arts Centre.

This year’s event will be bursting with activities inspired by the theme Electric Nature.

There will be huge colourful clouds, plant-powered night lights and a workshop facilitated by contemporary artist Anna McMahon.

Kids will be up dancing to the electronic sounds of hand puppet turned disc jockey, Peaches the Whale, and popular activities like gallery tours and painting in the Japanese garden will return to this year’s event.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said Fisher’s Kids will be full of fun and exciting activities for kids, all set amongst Campbelltown Art Centre’s Sculpture Garden and throughout the gallery.

“One workshop will see our budding artists create their own masterpieces inspired by the works in the Fisher’s Ghost Art Exhibition,’’ the mayor says.

[social_quote duplicate=”no” align=”default”]“Kids will learn more about art and discover their hidden talents, all in a fun environment,” he said.[/social_quote]

“Fisher’s Kids is one of the many free, family friendly activities on offer through this year’s Festival of Fisher’s Ghost.

“It’s a chance to celebrate our community spirit as well as the spirit of Fred Fisher, Australia’s best known ghost.”

The 2016 Festival of Fisher’s Ghost will run during November 4-13.
