The Wests Tigers will host the Canberra Raiders in the first elimination final of the NRLW Premiership at Campbelltown Sports Stadium this Friday night.
In the club’s maiden NRLW finals appearance, fans will be in for a rematch of the Tigers Round 11 clash at Leichhardt Oval last Friday night which saw them lose a close one 22-10.
With this Friday’s winner set to progress to a preliminary final, the Tigers will be looking to bounce back and continue their history-making campaign.
Wests Tigers members and fans are encouraged to make their presence felt at Campbelltown on Friday to support their team in the first-ever NRLW finals match at the venue.
“Our players have made history. If you can be there on Friday night, be there – wear your colours, bring your family and friends, and help us create a genuine home-finals atmosphere,’’ says Charmaine Steventon, head of women’s football at the Tigers.
“Reaching this point is a significant milestone for our women’s program and reflects the hard work, belief and resilience of our players, coaches and staff.
“Throughout the season, our focus has stayed on the game in front of us and continuing to grow as a squad.
“That approach has earned this group the right to play finals football.
“Now we need the Wests Tigers community behind them,’’ Ms Steventon said.
