Funding to the tune of $877,000 for safety upgrades to four black spots in his electorate of Macarthur has been welcomed by Dr Mike Freelander.
The four black spots are in Bardia, Bradbury, Campbelltown and Raby.
Funding will help deliver a range of safety measures to mitigate speeding, near misses, crashes and other safety concerns at the four locations.
Speed humps will be installed at the roundabout located at Lindesay Street and Chamberlain Street, Campbelltown, in response to concerns about speeding, near misses and general motorist and pedestrian safety.
Installation of raised thresholds and pedestrian fencing at the intersection of Hurricane Drive and Sopwith Avenue, Raby in response to three incidents resulting in injuries.
Installation of a speed hump on approaches to the roundabout at Bardia Avenue and Macdonald Road is the third black hole receiving funding for safety upgrades.
Three crashes have occurred there over the past five years.

The Member for Macarthur said the Albanese Government was making a significant investment in improving road safety.
“It is great to see these projects across Macarthur receive the funding required to ensure a safer journey for the many residents who use these roads,’’ Dr Freelander said.
“The Albanese Government will continue to work with state, territory and local governments to deliver even more critical road safety upgrades in the future.”
