The Lakeside Golf Club Camden was a colourful sight earlier this year when the dedicated golfing members at Lakeside Golf Club Camden wore pink and blue for the day.
It was all for a good cause, with members coming together as part of the Swing for Cancer Pink and Blue Golf Day to raise $10,000 for the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre.
Throughout the day the Lakeside golfing members showed their generosity through raffles, silent auctions and sponsorship to reach their goal fundraising figure.

Lakeside Golf Club Camden is part of Wests Group Macarthur, which has continued to support a raft of community groups throughout 2017, including services for local homeless people.
Wests Group recently contributed $3,960 for the New Start to Homeless Project, and a further $5,000 to the Assistance Assured Project.
Both are initiatives helping homeless families move into new accommodation.

Also through the project, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard provides furniture, household items and the cost of hiring a removal truck to help families start again.
Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard encourages the community to donate their unwanted goods, in order to resell such items to the community to raise funds for the New Start to Homeless and Assistance Assured Project.
The total of $8,960 funds donated by Wests Group Macarthur were part of the ClubGrants Category 1 expenditure.
Foster Care Angels, which supports children and carers within the foster care system and beyond was another community organisation to receive financial assistance from Wests Group Macarthur this year.
Wests Group Macarthur contributed $4,490 towards the Foster Care Angels’ carer respite project, which is designed to help the generous and caring people who give children a second chance.
The funds are utilised for thoughtful care backpacks containing essential comfort items, whilst also enabling carers to attend valuable respite weekends organised by Foster Care Angels.
Wests Group Macarthur also contributed an additional $5,000 for care packages for the “bed in a bag project’’.
The Project aims to help children and young people when first entering foster care, and includes packages containing new bedding provided in a large drawstring bag.
“Both the Carer Respite and Bed in Bag Packages are designed to give young people entering foster care a sense of self-worth and are theirs to keep throughout their foster care journey,” Mr Mathew said.
