In court today: Woman charged with murder over Ingleburn siege

policedinkusA woman will appear in court today charged over the murder of a man at Ingleburn earlier this year.

Detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad arrested the 31-year-old woman at Campbelltown Police Station yesterday at 4pm.

The arrest follows extensive investigations into the shooting death of a 44-year-old man at a factory unit on Heald Road, Ingleburn, on Monday, March 7.

Detectives attached to Strike Force Belgica believe the man was shot during a business dispute; his two brothers sustained gunshot wounds.

The alleged shooter died at the scene a short time later.

After her arrest, the woman was charged with one count of murder, and one count of being an accessory after the fact to murder.

She was refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court today.

♦ In other police news, a man has died after being hit by a 4WD in Menangle Park last night.

The incident happened about 5.55pm when a 4WD travelling north along Menangle Road at Menangle Park, allegedly struck the man as he crossed the road.

The 75-year-old man, from Moorebank, died at the scene.

The driver of the 4WD, a 40-year-old man from Camden Park, stopped and rendered assistance.

He was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police from Campbelltown Local Area Command will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.
