Wests Tigers stars back from injury to bolster team.
Welcome back: Wests Tigers skipper Aaron Woods is one of several Wests Tigers stars returning from injury for the clash with the Bulldogs this Sunday.

Wests Tigers will welcome back some big guns from injury for their Indigenous Round encounter with Canterbury-Bankstown at ANZ Stadium this Sunday, May 15.

Head coach Jason Taylor has named a squad that is boosted by the inclusion of skipper Aaron Woods, prop forward Tim Grant, playmaker Mitchell Moses and new recruit Elijah Taylor as 18th man.

The shoulder injury to James Tedesco results in another change to the team that faced South Sydney in Round 9 with Justin Hunt poised to make his Wests Tigers debut in the number one jersey.

Seven players have been named to back up from last weekend’s Representative Round and all return to club duties having recorded wins respectively for City, Samoa and NSW Residents.

Veteran hooker Matt Ballin makes his return from a knee injury and will play his first game for Wests Tigers with the Intrust Super Premiership side against Wyong this Saturday.

Young prop JJ Felise returns to the club’s Holden Cup side this week after impressing during his three NRL matches and will line-up alongside fellow Junior Kangaroo Junior Tatola in the front row against the Bulldogs.

Wests Tigers will have a number of game day activations on show at ANZ Stadium as part of Indigenous Round – including didgeridoo players, clapsticks, Indigenous artists and smoke ceremonies.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 11, the club will launch the Indigenous jersey to be worn against the Bulldogs.

“Recognise’’ campaign director Tanya Hosch will be on hand tomorrow for the launch, with the new-look jerseys to be modelled by Robbie Farah, Luke Brooks, Kevin Naiqama and Jordan Rankin.

The jerseys will be signed by the team and auctioned off following Sunday’s match, with a donation being made to “Recognise’’.
