Woman airlifted to hospital after three way crash

A woman with life threatening injuries was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital this morning

Three people have been taken to hospital – one with life threatening injuries – following a multi vehicle crash at Austral this morning.

Two westbound vehicles and one eastbound vehicle crashed about 8.20am.

A woman was airlifted to Liverpool Hospital after her westbound vehicle and two others collided.

She is reported to be suffering life threatening injuries.

The second westbound vehicle was clipped by the first vehicle; the female driver and her 12-year-old son escaped injury.

A woman and her five-year-old son were injured when their eastbound vehicle and the westbound vehicle then collided head-on.

The child was taken to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, while his mother was treated at Westmead Hospital for arm injuries.

As a result of the accident 15th Avenue remains closed between 4th Avenue and Herley Avenue.

Police from Green Valley Local Area Command and emergency services as well as officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit are at the scene.
