Caroline Argent, the new director of customer and corporate services of Wollondilly Shire Council, is also a very proud local resident.

Ms Argent will be leading the newly established directorate to deliver organisational improvements and focus on customer excellence.

Council says her appointment follows a very competitive recruitment process.

“Ms Argent brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record leading challenging and complex organisations and delivering outstanding results for customers and stakeholders,” says CEO Ben Taylor.

“Our focus is on providing outstanding customer service and I look forward to Caroline making a real difference for our community.

“She is taking up this role during a pivotal time for Wollondilly, as we welcome a newly elected mayor and councillors and together build on our great foundations to create a high performing organisation for our rapidly growing Shire.”

Most recently the chief executive-state manager of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia NSW Branch, Ms Argent was also a general manager of Engineers Australia for many years.

“I am honoured to have been appointed to the role of director customer and corporate services and to have the opportunity to join such a well-respected council team,” Ms Argent said.

“On a personal note, I am eager to get started and join an already strong team and be inspired by their growth, noting their talent, tenure and experience.

“It is an exciting time to join the organisation and I look forward to continuing the momentum and fostering our joint focus on delivering the best solutions for our team and expanding community,” Ms Argent said.

The recent establishment of the customer and corporate services directorate brings together key teams for council, with a central focus on customer service excellence.
