Campbelltown resident Aaron Wilson was looking for an investment property when a workmate told him about the mixed use community of Ed.Square.
Now, he’s thinking of moving there himself, to live above Ed.Square town centre when his new apartment is complete.
Aaron, who owns his own home right in the heart of Campbelltown, knows the importance of location when buying property and says proximity to shops and public transport were prerequisites when looking for an investment opportunity.
He said he was impressed when he visited the Ed.Square sales and display centre and viewed the masterplan for the new community, which is adjacent to Edmondson Park railway station and features its own bustling town centre packed with amenities, as well as close to major road links and the future Western Sydney Airport.
“I live in a pretty good location right behind Macarthur Square shopping centre in Campbelltown,’’ says Aaron.
“You can walk to the shops and the train station, but I think Ed.Square is an even better location.
“It will have a train station, shops, entertainment, a tavern, Event Cinemas and an Eat Street.
“Ed.Square is a much better location than the apartment in Campbelltown and I was keen to buy off the plan during stage one of the new community.”
Aaron, pictured above, paid $445,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, which he says represents good value for money when compared with a one-bedroom property he considered buying at Campbelltown, which was similar in price but not brand new and lacking the amenity and lifestyle offering of Ed.Square town centre.
Aaron says buying during an early housing release allows him to take advantage of potential capital growth.
While Aaron bought the property as an investment, he is now considering selling or leasing his
Campbelltown home and moving to Ed.Square, which will welcome its first residents in the second half of 2020, by which time the first stage of Ed.Square Town Centre will open.
Dino Carulli, sales and marketing director at Frasers Property Australia, says a full range of amenities will be delivered up front at Ed.Square so residents can start enjoying their surroundings as soon as they move in.
“Nothing was left to chance when creating the masterplan for Ed.Square. We have designed a new community where residents can access transport, shopping, entertainment and dining options, as well as places to socialise and relax,” he says.
Buyers wishing to live above everything Ed.Square has to offer can buy an apartment now in The Emerson building, which will be conveniently located above the Ed.Square town centre and opposite the green open space of the future Central Park, while Edmondson Park train station is just 150 metres away.
At 13 storeys, The Emerson is the tallest building in Stage 1 of Ed.Square and will be at the epicentre of the connected community where everything residents need will be right at their doorsteps.
The Ed.Square sales and display centre is on the corner of Soldiers Parade and Campbelltown Road, Edmondson Park. It is open daily from 11am to 4pm.
