Staying together for another three years, the NRMA and the Wanderers

The Western Sydney Wanderers have a new three season partnership agreement with NRMA Insurance as naming rights and major sponsor.

Coming on as a Wanderers foundation sponsor in the 2012/13 season, the NRMA Insurance Western Sydney Wanderers have formed a formidable partnership over the past three seasons and will continue to build in the three seasons ahead.

While the club’s on field success has been well noted, the Wanderers have matched that success with their connection to the people of Western Sydney off the field.

With more than 18,700 members, the Pirtek Stadium match day atmosphere is regarded as the benchmark for Australian sport, not just football.

The club has conducted more than 750 school, club and community visits each year, promoting football and healthy lifestyle choices to the Western Sydney community.

Along the way NRMA Insurance not only supports the club’s elite A-League footballers through its sponsorship, but plays an active role in growing football in the Western Sydney region.

Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas said the partnership has shown what strongly compatible organisations can achieve together.

“We are proud to have NRMA Insurance continue as our naming rights and major sponsor for a further three seasons and look forward to achieving even more together over this term,” Tsatsimas said.

“Whether it be their engagement with our members, our elite men’s and women’s teams or our extensive community activity, NRMA Insurance have been right there by our side.

“There is a value in this partnership outside of the dollars and cents, and that is in the brand alignment and attitudes to community that our organisations hold most dear which reveals the greatest value in our partnership.

NRMA Insurance CEO Andy Cornish said: “We see this renewal as not only a sign of how committed we are to the Western Sydney Wanderers, but also to the people of Western Sydney who passionately support this iconic club.

“I am proud that NRMA Insurance can now also support women’s and youth football in Western Sydney and look forward to the development of an indigenous scholarship program, the first of its kind in the A-League.

“We are looking forward to building upon a strong and prosperous relationship that has been in place since the club’s inception in 2012.

“Western Sydney will remain a key focus for NRMA Insurance; it’s our customer heartland and the heartland of Australian football,” Mr Cornish said.

With the increased popularity of football via digital platforms, NRMA Insurance has developed a free football skills app featuring Wanderers players. Football fans can download the app now by searching Football, NRMAde Better at the App Store or Google Play, or by visiting footballnrmadebetter.com.au
