Nominations for the 2015 National Volunteer Awards will close on November 1.

The Federal Member for Macarthur, Russell Matheson MP, is hosting the awards to recognise hard working volunteers in Macarthur.

Many organisations and community groups from across Macarthur have already sent in their nomination forms but with only a few days to go before applications close, time is running out fast.

Mr Matheson said there was still time to submit an application and urged the community to nominate the many worthy volunteers in Macarthur as soon as possible.

“It doesn’t take long to fill out the form so I encourage everyone who knows a volunteer or who works with a volunteer to nominate before November 1,” Mr Matheson said.

“Now is the time to recognise these hard working people for everything they do through these awards.”

Mr Matheson will host an award ceremony on December 4 this year to recognise Macarthur’s local volunteers who have made an extraordinary contribution to the community.
