Two men have been charged following an aggravated break and enter at Macquarie Fields last night.
Police say that at about 6.15pm two men – aged 29 and 37 – were inside a home on Mimulus Place, when they heard noises outside.
It is alleged that three men, believed to be known to the occupants, were standing at the front door yelling, when they forced entry to the home.
It’s alleged two of the intruders – aged 28 and 36 – assaulted the occupants and made threats.
The 29-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital with a suspected broken arm and cuts and bruises to his body.
The 37-year-old man was not injured.
Police from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended and three men – aged 28, 30 and 36 – were arrested in the driveway and taken to Macquarie Fields Police Station.
The 28-year-old man was charged with common assault and aggravated break and enter with intent in company.
The 36-year-old man was charged with intimidation and aggravated enter dwelling with intent to inflict actual bodily harm.
Both men were refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today, Monday, August 15.
The 30-year-old man was released pending further inquiries.
