Jason Taylor needs to cover for the loss of James Tedesco by bringing back Robbie Farah.

We all know rugby league is the greatest game of all.

It gets knocked down but it always bounces back up.

Other times it is its own worst enemy but it somehow manages to not only survive but thrive.

Three things came out of yesterday’s clash between Wests Tigers and the Gold Coast Titans at Campbelltown Stadium in front of almost 17,000 fans.

The Titans won by a field goal courtesy of the Jarryd Hayne right boot and fair enough, they played very well.

But they also played rough, taking out our superstar fullback James Tedesco, who is having tests to confirm he has a broken jaw.

It is not the first time he has been tackled high; in fact if the NRL was fair dinkum and had a look at just a few of the times he got tackled this year they would see that opposition teams have put a target around “Teddy’s’’ head.

The second thing is that Robbie Farah played a great game in reserve grade, and now that Tedesco looks like he’s gone for the season, coach Jason Taylor needs to make a big decision.

Personally I had no problem with the coach dropping Farah. He’s the boss and his own job is on the line at the end of the season.

But Taylor should think long and hard about bringing Farah back for the last three games.

Just like yesterday afternoon, these games will be the equivalent of sudden death finals and the team will need every bit of experience it has at its disposal.

And the third issue: when will the Wests Tigers wake up to themselves and accept that if they are to have a successful long term future they must be based here in Macarthur.

Here they will have the whole region to themselves, the fans, the sponsors, the junior base, and so on and on.

It would transform the club into a powerhouse one, like the Bulldogs and Parramatta.

Picture that: finals just about every year, how good would that be?

Rumours keep persisting that the Wests Tigers may be relocated to Perth, and despite the official denials, where there’s smoke there’s fire.

The move to Macarthur is a no brainer; most Tigers fans would agree it’s much, much more preferable to Perth.

The Wests Tigers need to win two out of their last three games to make the finals.
