This Friday, December 5, Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre will once again host the 2014 Access All Areas Film Festival.

The annual festival, which is offered for free to the public,  makes culture accessible to all by bringing open captioned screenings of the best new Australian feature films across NSW.

By including a barbecue and the screening of family friendly shorts as part of the program, this year’s festival promises to be as good as ever.

So take your friends and family to Casula Powerhouse, located y the picturesque Georges River, for a great day of food and entertainment.

In 2014, one of the highlights of the festival will be the screening of Tracks at 6.30pm.

Tracks is a film based on the true story of Robyn Davidson, a young woman who in 1977 undertook a perilous solo trek across 2,700km of stunning Australian outback.

With only her dog and four unpredictable camels for company, Robyn (played by Mia Wasikowska) embarks on an inspiring and life changing journey of self-discovery, set against one of the wildest, most dangerous and most breathtaking backdrops on the planet.

The festival will also feature eight of the best new Australian short films in an accessible program that has something for everyone.

The barbecue starts at 12 noon, the family friendly shorts start screening from 1pm.
