Neon gardens, live music, roaming entertainers, a cocktail bar, food trucks and more are part of new event coming to the heart of Campbelltown later this month.

Wander On Q will see Queen Street come to life on Saturday, April 23.

Events will be staged at three locations on and around Queen Street and will include roaming buskers, entertainers and coloured lighting throughout the precinct from Campbelltown Railway Station to Campbelltown Mall.

Live music will be performed in a space transformed into a glowing garden at the Wander the Green event on Short Street, between Railway Street and Patrick Street.

There will also be an outdoor bar, food trucks, face painting and entertainment activities.

A dance event will be held at the purpose-built, Forum Q movement space on Queen Street and Lithgow Street plaza, featuring a local dance crew and DJ that will inspire everyone to find their groove.

Clips of Western Sydney dance performers filmed at the space will light up a giant screen as a backdrop to the whole scene.

Roaming jugglers, face painting and more live music will fill the brightly decorated space for the Colour Wander event on Queen Street, between Dumaresq Street and Allman Street.

A map created for the event will highlight the variety of cuisine on offer in and around Queen Street that night, and some restaurants offering special meal deals.

To accommodate the open street nature of this event and the setup, some roads and one carpark in the Campbelltown CBD will be closed in the lead-up to the event including:

Short Street carpark (corner of Short Street and Hurley Street): 5am Saturday 23 April to 4pm Sunday 24 April;

Queen Street between Dumaresq Street and Allman Street: 10am to 11pm Saturday 23 April;

All of Short Street from 10am to 11pm Saturday 23 April.

This event is being funded by the NSW Government, Festival of Place- Open Streets Program.
