Nikolai Topor-Stanley was the star of Wanderers Medal 2015 as the club celebrated a historic season that saw them become the first Australian club to win the AFC Champions League.
The Wanderers’ captain took out the NRMA Insurance Hyundai A-League Player of the Year after one of his most consistent seasons which saw him lead the team to AFC Champions League glory as well as playing almost 3,000 minutes over the course of the campaign.
Veteran goalkeeper Ante Covic was recognised for his excellent performance in Asia by being awarded the Pepper ACL Player of the Year to add to his MVP trophy awarded to him by AFC.
International superstar Keelin Winters claimed the Westfield W-League double as she won Player of the Year and the Golden Boot. It was fitting reward for the USA national’s debut season in the Westfield W-League that saw her terrorise defences throughout the season.
Romeo Castelen was voted Amart Sports Members’ Player of the Year while Steve Kuzmanovski beat off a number of impressive candidates to win Foxtel Youth League Player of the Year and Alex Scollard was awarded Powerchair Player of the Year.
In the community section Vanessa and Graeme Carrett shared the Rod Allen Community Award, Adam Luczak won Guardian Funerals Wandercrew Member of the Year and Rhonda Hawkins was awarded the Chairman’s Award in recognition of 30 years of service to the Western Sydney community.
The Hyundai A-League Golden Boot will be awarded following the conclusion of the AFC Champions League Round of 16.
