Are you looking for a job?

Do you need training that will lead to a job?

Or are you seeking information on different career paths?

If you ticked any of the above, this week’s Education and Employment Expo and Open Day in Miller is perfect for you.

Liverpool Mayor Ned Mannoun is encouraging local job seekers and students to attend the expo.

Information on educational opportunities, apprenticeships and much more will be on offer at the expo, he says.

“Liverpool Council is working closely with Miller TAFE, UWS and employment networks to provide pathways to education, skills and work for young people,’’ Mr Mannoun said.

“Council is committed to creating a vibrant city with local jobs and educational opportunities that everyone can access,” he said.

“This is an unmissable event for job seekers and students – we have more than 50 information stalls, workshops and hands-on demonstrations.

“The expo is ideal for people who want help with job seeking, training, or information about diverse career paths.

“You can learn about resume writing and interview skills and talk to TAFE and universities about further education.’’

But there will be more to this expo than just picking up vitally important information: there’ll also be a sausage sizzle, airbrush-tattooing and live music to enjoy throughout the day.

The expo is an annual event hosted by SWSi TAFE Miller College in partnership with Liverpool Council’s Community 2168 Project and local agencies.
