A teen was arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer at a large party in Cecil Hills last night.
Just before 11pm police from Green Valley were called to a large party involving up to 400 people at a community hall in Sandringham Drive, following reports of underage drinking and anti-social behaviour.
Additional police from surrounding commands, including units of the Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS) were called to assist after the alleged assault of a male sergeant by a 17-year-old teenager.
The teen was arrested and his details taken for further action before he was given a move-along direction to leave the area.
About 30 minutes later, police arrested the 17-year-old again and another 16-year-old teen for allegedly failing to comply with a move-along direction.
Both were arrested and taken to Green Valley Police Station where they were released into the custody of their parents.
Both teens are expected to be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act for the alleged assault of a police officer and failure to comply with move-along directions.
The male sergeant was not injured during the incident.
