Wests Tigers may have got the wobbles lately after a great start to the 2026 NRL premiership race, but the club is still kicking goals off the field.
Hot on the heels of new contracts for Jahream Bula and brothers Taylan and Terrell May to keep them at the club until the end of 2030, Wests Tigers have announced that Sunia Turuva will also play on to the 2030 season.
Since joining the club, Turuva (pictured above) has scored 15 tries from 33 appearances, with the exciting outside back impressing in attack this season, averaging 153 run metres and scoring a hat-trick in his side’s win over Newcastle in Round 5.
The 23-year-old brings several intangible assets to Benji Marshall’s squad, leading both on and off the field and proving a key player in the club’s rebuild.
Tito, as he is affectionately known, is loving life at the Wests Tigers.
“It’s been special to be part of Benji’s vision here at the club, and play my role in what we’re building,” Turuva said.
Wests Tigers will need Turuva to be at his inspirational best when they clash with Manly this Saturday at Suncorp Stadium as part of Magic Round.
The starting side named by Benji Marshall sees only a couple of changes, with Terrell May returning to the front row after attending the birth of his third child, and Latu Fainu lining up at hooker.
Tristan Hope joins Ethan Roberts on the interchange bench, as well as Alex Seyfarth in the #16 jersey ahead of his 100th Wests Tigers appearance.
