Stonebridge Systems has appointed former M&C Saatchi Group Operations Director Marc van den Berg to the role of Head of Digital.

His main goal will be to further develop Stonebridge’s digital capabilities, especially in the areas of strategy and UX consulting, building upon the highly valued technical services currently provided to top tier clients including Bupa and Australia Post.

Mr van den Berg takes over from Cassandra Read-Hamilton who has been promoted to the newly created position of Professional Services Manager ANZ, with responsibility for all solutions delivery across the business’ ECM and digital practices.

These leadership changes are part of Stonebridge’s plan to support rapid growth following its acquisition by Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia in April.

Founded in 2009, Stonebridge – which has offices in Sydney and Melbourne – has established itself as one of the leading services organisations in the enterprise content management space.

Stonebridge Systems’ digital practice provides strategic advice, development services, implementation services and support services across all digital touch points and channels including social, mobile and web.

Stonebridge was acquired by Konica Minolta Business Solutions Australia in April of this year as part of the local execution of the global Transform 2016 strategy.

“With increased activity post-acquisition we knew we’d have to restructure and these are among the first as we ramp up our growth efforts,’’ says Stonebridge Systems director, Craig Broadbent.

“Marc brings considerable expertise and experience and he’ll help us get there.”

Van den Berg brings over 15 years’ experience creating digital strategies and leading digital transformation initiatives.

At M&C Saatchi he was responsible for building and managing the company’s digital, innovation and technical delivery teams across Australia, while leading the internal transformation of the businesses operations (people, process, platforms & tools).

Before that, he worked with Ogilvy & Mather and OgilvyOne, the UK’s most awarded direct & digital agency.
