An investigation is under way after a man was stabbed several times during a brawl in the car park of Eschol Park sporting complex.

The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital.

It is not clear if the brawl was related to a game of rugby league being played in the field adjacent to the carpark.

Emergency services were called to the sporting complex on Eagle Vale Drive just before 3.30pm on Sunday following reports of a brawl.

Officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command attended and located a man with multiple stab wounds.

A crime scene was established, which will be examined by forensic officers, and an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident is under way.
