MP Bryan Doyle is encouraging community groups to submit an application as part of the NSW Government’s new $1.6 million grants initiative to help boost road safety in Campbelltown.
“We all have a role to play when it comes to road safety and that’s why the NSW Government is providing $1.6 million in grants to help deliver local road safety initiatives,” Mr Doyle said.
“If a school in Campbelltown wants to host a road safety workshop for kindergarten we want to hear about it.
“If a high school in Campbelltown wants to run a campaign about the impacts of drink and drug driving, we want to hear about it.’’
Applications are open now and community groups have until 21 February 2015 to submit their local road safety ideas.
Two grant categories are available – one for smaller projects up to $5,000 and another for more substantial projects, up to $30,000.
“This $1.6 million grant initiative builds on many other road safety initiatives being delivered for all members of the community,’’ the state member for Campbelltown said.
