A man is facing up to 12 charges after drugs and guns were located during two search warrants in Spring Farm and Leppington yesterday.
Investigators from Camden Local Area Command with the assistance of officers from neighbouring commands, attended properties at Spring Farm and Leppington and executed two search warrants around 8am.
A 40-year-old man was arrested at the property in Spring Farm.
A search there allegedly located a shotgun barrel, a rifle barrel, knuckle dusters, amphetamines, cannabis and MDMA tablets (also known as ecstasy), cocaine, LSD and other items used in the supply of prohibited drugs.
The search warrant at Leppington allegedly located cocaine, a loaded shotgun and a loaded .22 rifle, a .270 calibre rifle and several hundred rounds of ammunition.
The 40-year-old man was taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with 12 offences including:
– Supplying commercial quantity prohibited drug;
– Supplying indictable quantity prohibited drug (x2);
– Possessing prohibited drug (x2);
– Possessing prohibited weapon without permit;
– Possessing shortened firearm (not pistol) without authority;
– Possessing a barrel without authority (x2);
– Not keeping a firearm safely;
– Possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm; and
– Possessing an unauthorised firearm.
The man was refused bail and was due to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today.
