policeemblemLocal police are trying to find out what happened after they found a man in Narellan last night with a stab wound to his shoulder.

About 9.20pm emergency services were called to Wilson Crescent, Narellan, following reports an injured man was outside a home.

The 24-year-old was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for a stab wound to his shoulder before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Camden Local Area Command attended and launched an investigation into the incident.

Initial inquiries have led police to believe the man may have been injured elsewhere; however, no further information in known when or where the man was injured.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police via Crime Stoppers.

In a separate incident, police are searching for the driver of a car which left the road and hit a house during a pursuit at Macquarie Fields this morning.

Officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attempted to stop the driver in Harold Street shortly after 3.40am.

Police say that the man drove away and a pursuit was initiated; a short time later the vehicle hit the front bedroom of a house in Evelyn Street.

A male passenger was taken to Campbelltown Hospital to be checked as a precaution, he was treated and has since left the hospital.

A woman and a second man – who were also passengers – were checked at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics but did not require treatment.

A woman, who was asleep in the bedroom at the time, was treated for shock but was otherwise uninjured.

The house sustained minor damage, while a car parked in a shared driveway was also hit.

Police are now searching for the driver and are following a number of lines of inquiry.
