Pistol fired inside house at Rosemeadow

A MAN HAS been charged over alleged drug and firearm offences in Rosemeadow today. About 4.30am this morning, police were called to a home on Mowbray Way, following concerns for a man in the home. On arrival, officers attached to Campbelltown Local Area Command searched the premises, where they allegedly located a .22 calibre single barrel pistol and ammunition.

Further inquiries revealed that the man had allegedly discharged a single shot inside the premises. No one was injured during the incident. A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Campbelltown Police Station, where he was charged with possessing a prohibited pistol, using a prohibited pistol, possessing ammunition and unrelated offences. He was refused bail, to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (September 1).
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a motorcycle crash near Camden today.  About 9.30am emergency services were called to Montpelier Drive, The Oaks, following reports of a crash between a truck and a motorcyclist. The man riding the motorcycle died at the scene. The truck driver was taken to hospital for mandatory testing. Local police responded, with Crash Investigation Unit officers attending to investigate. A report is being prepared for the Coroner.

A MAN has been charged after allegedly assaulting a paramedic at Liverpool last night. About 5:30pm on Sunday (August 31) NSW Ambulance Paramedics were called to Charles Street to examine a 19-year-old man. It will be alleged that as the two female paramedics were examining the man he lashed out and tried to punch one of them. They retreated and called for police assistance with officers from Liverpool Local Area Command attending the scene.

The paramedics then continued to examine the man when he allegedly punched one of them in the arm. Police intervened and attempted to arrest the man, however, he allegedly resisted arrest by kicking out and swinging his arms violently. The 19-year-old man was restrained and had to be handcuffed before being taken to Liverpool Hospital for examination.

He was later discharged from hospital and taken to Liverpool Police Station where he was charged with two counts of common assault and resisting arrest. He will appear in Liverpool Local Court on September 23.
