On July 4, some of south west Sydney’s most prominent businessmen and women will jump in a boxing ring to fight each other.
But they won’t remove the business suits and don boxing gloves because it’s the new trend in letting off steam after a hard day at the office.
They will do it to raise money for a good cause or two.
It will be the second time the Corporate Clash in the Cube has been held after its incredibly successful launch last year. The Campbelltown Catholic Club’s Cube auditorium was sold out with more than 600 people attending.
More than $50,000 was raised as a result, with the Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and Camden Rotary the beneficiaries last year.
“We are hoping to raise even more in 2015,’’ say the organisers of the 2015 event.
Already 18 businessmen and women have signed up for the Saturday, July 4 event, making it even bigger than last year.
The Corporate Clash in the Cube is the brainchild of mates Mark Scarce of Camden Hire and Grant Butterfield of Marsdens Law Group.
It’s one of the most unusual ways to raise funds for charity and maybe that’s why it’s destined to be a success in the long term.
Scarce and Butterfield, who put their money where their mouths are by also taking part in the ring last year will both back up this year.
♦ Hopping in the ring with them this year will be:
Angelo Paparo – Paparo Group
Troy Newman – Boss Windows
Daniel Logue – Fairmont Homes NSW
Anthony Vitocco – Vaste Developments
Luke Leone – Barenz
Aaron Johnson – Marsdens Law Group
Jason Beaven – Crown Electrical Solutions
Greg Hall – G &S Diesel
Paul Hope – Modern Wealth Management
Daniel Alberteri – Subcorp
Aneek Moller – Blooms The Chemist
Lincon McLaren – McLaren Real Estate
Rob Doorey – C91.3
Marina Mikelic – Symphony’s on Argyle
