Police are investigating an alleged attempted armed robbery of two men in a car in Woodbine just after midnight.
About 12.30am, two men aged in their 20s, were sitting in a silver Holden Berlina, parked on Queenscliff Drive, when they were approached by two men.
One of the men allegedly tried to open the door of the car, before threatening the pair with a small black pistol.
The pair were able to escape by driving from the scene. They were not injured during the incident and alerted police.
Officers from Campbelltown Local Area Command with the assistance of the Dog Unit conducted an extensive patrol of the area however the two men could not be found.
Investigations are continuing and police are hoping to speak with two men who might be able to assist with inquiries.
One of the men is described as being of Caucasian appearance, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 165 to 170cm tall, with shaved fair hair.
He was seen wearing a white hooded jumper with grey stripes, denim pants, and carrying a small black pistol.
There was no further description available for the second man involved in the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
