Machete, baseball bat used in Tahmoor home invasion

Police are appealing for information following a violent home invasion at Tahmoor.

A man and woman, both aged 22, were at their home on Hunter Street, when two unknown men forced their way into the property around 9pm on Thursday evening.

The man was assaulted and the two male intruders, armed with a baseball bat and a machete, demanded cash from the occupants of the house.

After damaging property through the home, the assailants took some jewellery and fled the scene.

The occupants of the home were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police were called to the location and a conducted a patrol of the area, but the perpetrators could not be located.

A crime scene was established and investigations into the incident commenced by officers attached to Camden Local Area Command.

Investigators would like to speak to two men who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

The first is described as being Caucasian appearance, aged in his early 20s, about 180cm tall, with a solid build and shaved head.

The man had an eyebrow piercing and was carrying the baseball bat.

The second is also described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his mid to late 20s, about 180cm tall and a thin build. He was carrying the machete.

Both were wearing dark clothing.
