♦ In a separate incident not too far away from Leumeah, another man was also taken to hospital after his car crashed and rolled during a police pursuit last night.
Just before 10.30pm officers from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attempted to stop a Mitsubishi Triton utility on Collins Promenade.
Police pursued the Mitsubishi for a short distance before it crashed and rolled while the driver was attempting to turn at the roundabout intersection of Pembroke Road and Ben Lomond Road.
The passenger, a 28-year-old man, was assisted out of the vehicle while the driver, a 25-year-old man, climbed out.
The driver was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.
Police allege the vehicle was involved in a fraud incident prior to the pursuit.
Inquiries into the matter are continuing, with charges anticipated, police said.
