Police are investigating a multiple vehicle collision which occured on the Cumberland Highway in Fairfield West last night, July 26.
About 5.15pm emergency services were called to the intersection of Cumberland Highway and Hamilton Road. Officers from Fairfield Local Area Command attended, and found a tow truck and five vehicles had collided with significant damage.
The vehicles; a tilt-tray tow-truck, a Mazda 323, a Mitsubishi Challenger, a Toyota Tarago, a Mitsubishi Pajero, a Honda CRV and a further vehicle on the back of the tow-truck.
There were no serious injuries as a result of the collision, however six people were taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries. Three people went to Westmead Hospital and the other three went to Liverpool Hospital. All drivers underwent mandatory testing.
Investigations into the incident are continuing.
