Learn how to keep chooks
Learn how to keep chooks in workshops that are free form the Macarthur Centre for Susstainable Living.

Do you want to learn how to create a thriving vegetable garden or how to keep chickens?

Maybe you’re interested in learning how to make delicious meals and juices from leftovers?

Well, the workshops offered by the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living are for you.

A wide range of workshops are available throughout the year and what’s more they’re free.

Workshops offer tips on many topics including fermenting food, solar cooking and organic gardening.

The workshops are held at the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living, Mount Annan Drive, Mount Annan.

The Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said the aim of the workshops was to encourage residents to adopt a sustainable lifestyle, which would not only have a positive impact on the environment, but on the household budget.

“The free workshops provide practical advice on the myriad of ways residents can help the environment, including conserving water, chemical free gardening and waste reduction,” he said.

“Participants will also benefit from learning about worm farming and composting, and creating their own garden, getting them outdoors, exercising and potentially providing a great deal of satisfaction, in addition to saving them money.”

Bookings for the workshops are essential.

To book, call the Macarthur Centre for Sustainable Living on 4647 9828.
