The arrest of two more men late last week brings to five the number of people police have charged over the stabbing of a man during a brawl at a carpark of Eschol Park sports complex earlier this month.
On Thursday, police investigating the stabbing arrested a 22-year-old man at a home in Mereil Street, Campbelltown.
He was taken to Campbelltown Police Station where he was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and affray.
He was the fourth person charged over the incident.
Twenty four hours later, a 19-year-old man attended Campbelltown Police Station where he was arrested.
He was charged with wounding a person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, affray and not disclosing the identity of driver or passenger as required.
He became the fifth person to be charged over the incident.
Both men were refused bail to appear in Campbelltown Local Court last Friday.
Just before 3.30pm on Sunday, May 2, emergency services were called to the Eschol Park sporting complex on Eagle Vale Drive following reports of a brawl.
On arrival police found a man with multiple stab wounds.
The man, aged 21, was treated at the scene before being taken to Liverpool Hospital, where he underwent surgery and has since been released.
Investigations are ongoing.
