An investigation is under way after a body was found following a house fire in Macquarie Fields this morning.
Emergency services were called to a home on Montana Way about 1.35am (Wednesday 30 June 2021), after smoke was seen coming from the two-storey brick home.
Multiple crews from Fire and Rescue NSW attended and found the home well alight.
All occupants were able to escape the home; however, a teenage boy was unaccounted for.
Once the fire was extinguished, crews entered the building and found a body in an upstairs bedroom.
A crime scene has been established with officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command investigating.
Police are holding a media briefing this morning to discuss the blaze at Macquarie Field Police Station; Superintendent Julian Griffiths, Campbelltown City PAC Commander will address the media.
