cyclingLiverpool Council says it is proud to support The Happiness Cycle, a Coca-Cola Initiative presented in partnership with the Bicycle Network designed to get young people riding and moving.
Three-hundred bikes will be given out to eligible young people, so get in quick and register now!
All registered participants are invited to attend Liverpool’s Happiness Cycle event on Wednesday, November 12 between 9am and 4pm held at the Whitlam Leisure Centre, 90a Memorial Ave, Liverpool.
Local youngsters aged 13 to 17 are encouraged to participate and take advantage of this rare opportunity by registering online.
Liverpool City Mayor, Ned Mannoun, said The Happiness Cycle supported council’s vision for a healthy, inclusive city offering local young people the chance to earn a brand new bicycle to keep them on the right track to a healthier lifestyle.
As an Australian-first, The Happiness Cycle is riding tandem with Bicycle Network, a not-for-profit community organisation aiming to get young people back on their bikes.
If you want to be part of The Happiness Cycle, remember to register at https://register.happinesscycle.com.au/ and earn yourselves one of three bikes; BMX, hybrid or single speed bikes.
“I would have jumped at the chance for a new bike, as any kid would. I see nothing but benefits for our youth and the broader community from this unique program,” Mayor Ned Mannoun said.
There is also an interactive HappiCycle App available for download to track progress, challenge friends and earn virtual rewards which will allow young Australians all over the country, whether they receive a bike from the program or not, to take part in the Happiness Cycle.
