The initial concept plans for a new water play park at Curry Reserve in Elderslie are now available for residents to view.

Input from residents gathered during consultation in May last year has been used to guide the preliminary plans.

The play park is one of a suite of new parks to be developed in 2018, including the brand new youth and recreational play spaces at Harrington Park and Currans Hill.

The project includes toilets, new paths, parking, shelter upgrades and water play facilities.

[social_quote duplicate=”no” align=”default”]“Community feedback to surveys and discussions last year made it clear that there is strong support for an inclusive water play space, suitable to people of all abilities,” says Mayor Lara Symkowiak.[/social_quote]

“It is important that the park is functional, attractive and enjoyable to a diversity of people for it to be a real asset to the community,” she said.

“Engaging with residents at each step of the project is important to ensuring that everyone is involved as the plans progress.”

The designs are available on council’s website, www.camden.nsw.gov.au
