A $1.2 million upgrade of the Rosemeadow sports complex will mean a modern new clubhouse for Campbelltown Collegians Football Club.
The new facility will significantly expand the capacity of the clubhouse.
It will have two change rooms, a meeting room, canteen, store room, accessible toilet facilities and a new retaining wall.
The club will also benefit from a $75,000 upgrade to lighting of the main field, along with $120,000 for irrigation.
The lighting was funded by $10,000 from the NSW Government’s Local Sports Grants fund.
Work started this week on the project.
“Campbelltown Collegians are a growing club providing opportunities to play football for many kids in Rosemeadow and the surrounding suburbs,” says Campbelltown mayor George Brticevic.
“The field and lighting upgrades mean Rosemeadow Sports Complex will host night games and the irrigation works will ensure the field is of a better quality and easier to maintain in the future,” he said.
The clubhouse upgrade is expected to be completed by mid-next year.
