Liverpool deputy mayor, Councillor Peter Ristevski, handed out certificates to volunteer seniors at a Seniors Week function hosted by the Liverpool Volunteer Resource Centre (LVRC) earlier in the week.

“I was honoured to be able to present certificates to our wonderful volunteers, who do such a great job in the community,’’ Cr Ristevski said.

The event was funded by NSW Government Family & Communities through the NSW Seniors Grant Program.

The seniors who attended and received their certificates from Cr Ristevski are all volunteers from the local community.

LVRC is a not for profit organisation funded through the Department of Social Services and NSW Government Family & Communities Services.

It provides volunteer referral to not for profit organisations in the Liverpool, Fairfield and Bankstown areas.

It also offers reduced cost training to people within our community.
