After 11 rounds of the Wests Group Macarthur rugby league premiership, Camden Rams winger John Ryan is leading tryscorer with 17 tries to his name.
It helps when your team is dominating the competition again: Camden are still unbeaten, having posted 11 wins from as many matches in the 2026 season.
But for those fans that say Camden’s already won the premiership, there are some challengers, including the team in second place, Campbelltown Collegians, who are just one win off the pace set by the 2025 premiers.
Oakdale Worker and Thirlmere Roosters, in third and fourth place on the ladder, are also set to be involved in this year’s finals – and capable of standing up to the Rams.
The Oaks Tigers round off the top five, and a four point buffer between them and sixth placed Campbelltown City Kangaroos.
At the other end of the table, it’s a two horse race for the wooden spoon in 2026, the South West Sydney Goannas and East Campbelltown Eagles.
The Eagles do have a slightly better points differential with minus 266, compared to minus 308 for the Goannas.
In round 11 the Eagles went down 22-12 to the Oaks Tigers at Waminda Oval.
The Goannas were also fairly competitive, losing to the Magpies 26-8 at Picton.
In Oakdale, the Workers went close to inflicting the first defeat of the season on Camden, but in the end the Rams prevailed narrowly, winning 22-20.
In the other two games of the round, Collegians stopped the gallant Campbelltown City Kangaroos in a 30-20 victory.
At Mittagong Sports Stadium, the Lions were no match for Thirlmere Roosters, who bagged the two points after a 32-6 win.
There was a competition break for the school holidays on the weekend, but teams return to the fields of battle on Sunday, July 19, with all games kicking off at 3pm.
The Oaks Tigers will host Campbelltown Collegians, while competition leaders Camden will be at home in Kirkham Park against East Campbelltown.
Goannas will take on Mittagong at Narellan Sports Centre, while Thirlmere Roosters will be at home up against Campbelltown City Kangaroos.
The final game is scheduled for Victoria Park, Picton where the Magpies will lock horns with Oakdale Workers.
