Camden pharmacy in robbery

Police are appealing for information following a robbery in Camden on Sunday, July 20.

Shortly after 9am a man entered a pharmacy on Argyle Street and approached two female attendants before demanding medication. The man was also seen holding a syringe filled with an unknown liquid at the time. He fled the location a short time later and was last seeing running toward Hill Street.

Officers attached to Camden Local Area Command were alerted and attended a short time later. A crime scene was established at the location and examined by detectives.

Police also conducted an extensive search of the surrounding area; however the man was not found.

Inquiries into the matter are continuing and detectives would now like to speak to a man who may be able to assist in the investigation. The man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 180cm tall, with light-coloured hair and of a medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured zip-up hooded jumper, dark tracksuit pants with white stripes down the sides, white shoes and his face was partially covered with a bandana. The man was also seen carrying a black backpack with a white design on the back and white stripes on the straps.
