Macarthur FC Bulls are moving forward with their plans to build their own centre of excellence.

The club have just lodged a development application (DA) with Camden Council for the $21 million project.

According to the plans, which are yet to be considered by Camden Council, the Bulls centre of excellence will be built on a 40 acre site located on Cawdor Road, Cawdor.

When completed it will house the club’s academy, elite football department and women’s training facilities, plus male and female change rooms.

The designs for the one storey building, pictured above, make provision to also house the future Macarthur FC women’s team in the W-League.

Four fields of FIFA elite level will also be part of the centre of excellence.

On completion, Macarthur FC will be the only A-League club to own such a prestigious facility in Australia

“This is a significant investment into the future of the club,’’ says Gino Marra, club chairman of Macarthur FC Bulls.

“It will allow us to work with the best local boys and girls, nurturing and building the stars of the future.

“All players from our academy through to first grade teams will have access to the state of the art sports medicine and training facilities,’’ he said.

“The Bulls are committed to building the best centre of excellence of any code in the South Western Sydney region.’’

The site, pictured below, is a short drive from the heart of the Camden town centre and 20-25 minutes from Campbelltown and other parts of the Macarthur region.
