Macarthur FC fans: mark October 5 and November 9 and 30 in your calendars.

On those three dates the Bulls will be at home, Campbelltown Stadium, for their three Asian Football Champions (AFC) Cup group stage fixtures.

The Bulls, who qualified for the AFC by winning last year’s Australia Cup have been drawn in Group F to play clubs from the Philippines, Myanmar and Cambodia on their first foray into Asia.

Macarthur FC will face Dynamic Herb Cebu from The Philippines, Shan United of Myanmar and Cambodian club Phnom Penh Crown FC.

The ASEAN Group F pits the Bulls against some of the stronger sides of the tournament, with Phnom Penh FC the reigning champions of Cambodia, Myanmar’s most successful domestic club in Shan United and the Filipino runners-up, Dynamic Herb Cebu.

“Competing in Asia is a major milestone for our club and we are proud to represent South Western Sydney on the continental stage,” says Bulls coach Mile Sterjovski.

“We know it won’t be easy to travel away with difficult climates and long trips.

“Some of the teams have experience in the AFC Cup but we are very much looking forward to the challenge and confident in the ability of the team to progress to the knockout stages.”

The full group stage schedule for the Bulls is:

Thursday, September 21, away to Shan United FC.

Thursday, October 5, Campbelltown Stadium, v Dynamic Herb Cebu FC.

Thursday, October 26, away to Phnom Penh Crown FC.

Thursday, November 9, Campbelltown Stadium v Phnom Penh Crown FC.

Thursday, November 30, Campbelltown Stadium v Shan United FC.

Thursday, December 14, away to Dynamic Herb Cebu FC.

The Bulls will also be at home for round one of the 2023-24 A-League; they will host Brisbane Roar on Saturday, October 21, with the game kicking off from 3.30pm.

There’s one less campaign to worry about for the Campbelltown based Bulls, after they were eliminated from this year’s Australia Cup in the round of 32.

Ironically, they lost 2-1 to Campbelltown City, a club located near Adelaide.
