Members of the Ingleburn Bowling and Recreation Club will be feeling the heat a little less this summer after the club successfully secured $27,900 in grant funding through the NSW Government’s 2016 Community Building Partnership (CBP) program for new shade sails.
The club is one of five organisations in the Macquarie Fields electorate to secure State Government grant funding for much-needed community infrastructure projects that will enhance local facilities.
The Member for Macquarie Fields, Anoulack Chanthivong, said he welcomed the funding boost and encouraged local organisations to apply for next year’s grant funding when it opens in 2017.
“This grassroots funding helps to deliver new infrastructure for local schools, sporting and community groups. The Community Building Partnership grants program directly benefits our community and is a great investment in local projects,” Mr Chanthivong said.
“Congratulations to all of this year’s successful grant recipients, and I look forward to seeing the projects being rolled-out and making a positive difference to our local area,” Mr Chanthivong added.
Other successful grant recipients in the Macquarie Fields electorate for 2016 include:
· The Australian Foundation for Disability for a pallet wrapping machine.
· Ingleburn Tennis Club to create safer access to the club.
· Ingleburn Little Athletics Club for defibrillator, first aid kit and first aid training for two people.
· The Scouts Association of Australia NSW Branch to remove asbestos cement roofing from storage shed.
