Different businesses have different ways to thank their customers at the end of another year.
Some put on parties at fancy venues where the food is plentiful and the beers flow.
Others send their sales people out to present their clients with gifts.
And then there’s Atlantic Oil, the Ingleburn based company that puts on a social day of golf for its valued customers.
Last Friday, company director Steve Kalamvokis welcomed around 80 clients and business associates who accepted his company’s invitation for the 2023 Atlantic Oil golf day at the prestige Macquarie Links golf course.
“They come from all over Sydney, the Southern Highlands and surrounds,’’ Mr Kalamvokis told the South West Voice during the luncheon that followed the 18 holes of golf.
“We also have some of our interstate staff here today,’’ he said.
“It’s an annual tradition now – this is our eighth golf day – we do it to thank our customers, and get them away from work for a day.’’
Atlantic Oil, which manufactures top shelf oils, lubricants and fluids at its Liverpool Street, Ingleburn plant, was founded by Mr Kalamvokis and a business partner more than 25 years ago.
It currently has a presence in most states and territories across the country.
Atlantic Oil also supports the local communities where it operates, including here in Macarthur, with sponsorship of junior sport.
Mr Kalamvokis says the company has enjoyed a solid year “without being great’’.
“As far as challenges go in the past year, we got nothing more than anyone else.
“We’re looking forward to the next 12 months,’’ he said.
“And of course we’re also looking forward to getting together with our clients against next year – it’s an annual tradition now.’’
