If you’re interested in getting active, making friends and learning new skills from scooter professionals, register for one of the free scooter workshops held across Campbelltown City’s skate parks.
Campbelltown City Council, in partnership with Korrupt Indoor Skate Park, will host a series of workshops providing novice riders with the opportunity to learn some great skills from qualified scooter coaches in a safe and friendly environment.
The workshops will be held at Campbelltown and Macquarie Fields Skate Parks, and are open to enthusiasts from five years old to adults.
Scooter Sisters, a scooter workshop designed especially for girls and women, will also be held at St Helens Park Skate Park on Monday, January 22 from 9am to 11am.
Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, said the workshops gave participants the chance to enjoy the outdoors and get active during the summer months, and make the most of Campbelltown City’s excellent recreational facilities.
“These workshops will be a lot of fun, and I encourage people who love their scooters to come along and develop their skills, and maybe even learn new tricks,” he said.
“It’s also great to see the young coaches who graduated from Council’s Campbelltown Skate, Scooter and BMX learn to ride coaching academy earlier this year using their new skills, and helping others hone their talents, through these workshops.”
The next workshop is on next Monday (January 8) at Macquarie Fields Skate Park from 9am to 11am.
While all ages are welcome to attend, parental permission is required for young people under 18 and registration forms are required to participate.
Supervision is required for younger children.
Registration forms are available at the venue on the day, or by visiting campbelltown.nsw.gov.au/scooter
